A plague on voice strain

Suzette heads up the HR department of a multi-national organisation.

Her work demands regular trips across Asia.  She is constantly in air-conditioned environments.  And she has been seeing a throat specialist due to sporadic voice loss.

With her specialist's approval, we've been working together:

  • On relaxation techniques in confined spaces

  • On voice preservation techniques

Establishing a voice care routine will make a difference to your enjoyment of work.  Consider a tailored Master Class.

  1. Very interesting.. I've suffered from a strained voice a few times before which lost me a lot of work. I also use vocal lozenges which have helped a lot but am open to trying everything and anything!

  2. Alex Beth,
As we have not spoken I have no information on your particular voice issues. What I have consistently found is that, in business and professional environments, overuse of the voice and incorrect use of the vocal mechanism results in voice strain. Sensitive and discrete adjustments of each individual's physiology can release the pressure on surrounding muscles and ligaments thus 'freeing' the voice. Feel free to contact me directly to discuss more. Best wishes, Sandra
